In 1994, Bundu was founded to share our passion for exploring Africa. Our early days saw us operating safaris into the Kruger National Park, then expanding throughout Southern Africa with our small group overland trips.

Trip styles range from Overland Adventures (long roads, big fun), to Comfort (travel with a soft landing) and Family (go wild with your tribe).

We are also the proud owners of the Thornhill Safari Lodge, situated amongst renowned Private Game Reserves adjacent to Kruger and make use of our own permanent tented camps within the Kruger Park.

In 2008 the Bundu Safari Company joined forces with Intrepid Travel, one of the world's leading suppliers of small group adventures. Our leaders are all African born and bred and are friendly, knowledgeable, qualified and registered with all the guiding bodies. All leaders undergo comprehensive training courses that include all aspects of wildlife and nature guiding as well as the finer details like preparing campfire meals and general safari etiquette. Our leaders are chosen for their leadership skills and are wonderful ambassadors for our company and our beautiful Continent.
